A TV show featuring "Thomas the Tank Engine" put 3 1/2-year-old Ethan Findlay on track to being a railroad fan, says his father, David Findlay. Ethan sat on his dad's shoulders Saturday as they gazed at model train exhibits inside the Great Overland Station during that venue's fourth annual Topeka Railroad Festival. read more

While some enthusiasts may erect a model train set in their own home to enjoy, the members of the Anderson-Stoney Creek Library Model Railroad Club have built one for the entire community to share.

A Chinese state-owned bullet train manufacturer recalled 54 trains today following a July crash that killed 40 people. China North Locomotive and Rolling Stock Ltd (CNR) recalled model CRH380BL trains used on the Beijing-Shanghai line, which has suffered repeated delays blamed on equipment failures.
