While most helicopter flights go smoothly, Shell is investing big in training and equipment to reduce the chance of disaster and boost the odds of survival in a crash over the cold, open sea.

Two big dioramas featuring tiny trains are on display during the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous -- and they're getting a lot more traffic than the depot at the airport. Both are free, though donations are accepted.
