Model trains still on track
William Pignataro has been collecting model trains since he received his first American Flyer model train for Christmas at the age of 5. When he was diagnosed with full-blown melanoma, a type of skin cancer, on the dome of his head in 2002, he decided to take his hobby seriously and build a re-creation of the New England coast he calls “Valley Stream Railroad.”

A Model Citizen: Cancer survivor loves model trains
Kittanning resident and Armstrong Habitat for Humanity volunteer, Michael Luke, is sharing his love of trains with a large display that continues from 6 to 9 p.m. today, takes a break for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, then resumes Sunday through Dec. 30, at the former Christian bookstore, adjacent to Family Dollar, on Jefferson Street, Kittanning.
