Richard J. Ryan, a railroad enthusiast and model train hobbyist who worked 30 years as a machine and equipment mechanic for Western Electric, died Monday in the Center for Hospice&Palliative Care, Cheektowaga. He was 84.

Councilman plans to form model railroad club

Walter Watson plans to form a model railroad club and hopes to generate some interest in the organization. He said there were still a lot of details to work out, but he wanted to get more people on board with the project.
