China recalls 54 bullet trains

A Chinese state-owned bullet train manufacturer recalled 54 trains today following a July crash that killed 40 people. China North Locomotive and Rolling Stock Ltd (CNR) recalled model CRH380BL trains used on the Beijing-Shanghai line, which has suffered repeated delays blamed on equipment failures.

Railway memorabilia worth thousands of pounds was stolen during a burglary at the Conway Valley Railway Museum in Betws y Coed between 5pm on Wednesday and 10am on Thursday.
