Boomers display model trains at exhibition

T he Bedford Boomers held their 29th annual Model Railroad Exhibition on Sunday at McKelvie Middle School in Bedford. The “largest noncommercial model display east of the Mississippi River,” according to the club, took place 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Train exhibit at McKelvie Middle School

The Bedford Boomers will host its 28th annual Model Railroad Exhibition from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the McKelvie Middle School. The exhibition is the largest noncommercial display of model trains east of the Mississippi River.

TRA’s historic Jiji Line to close in March for repairs (Taipei Times)

The Jiji Line (集集線), one of the nation’s heritage railway routes, will be closed in March because seven of its tunnels between Zhuoshui (濁水) Station and Checheng (車埕) are in need of immediate repairs, the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) said last week.
