Retired streetcars from worldwide get new duty on San Francisco’s colorful F Line

Caitlin Fitzsimmons One of the F Line's late-1940s streetcars is painted in the livery of the Los Angeles Railway Co., which used this type of streetcar from 1937 to 1963.The F trams should not be confused with the city's famous antique cable cars, which are crowded and tickets cost $5. The F is a regular commuter service, and your $2 transfer from the city's transit network is valid.
