Train exhibit at McKelvie Middle School

The Bedford Boomers will host its 28th annual Model Railroad Exhibition from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the McKelvie Middle School. The exhibition is the largest noncommercial display of model trains east of the Mississippi River.

Two events for train-lovers are coming up in Tehachapi. A “traine faire” will be held on Oct. 30 and a model train show will be held on Nov. 13-14. The Traine Faire at the Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 30. Vendors will have trains, track and other train-related items on sale. Model railroad show to be held in Lakewood

On Sept. 25-26 the Lakewood Heritage Commission and the Lakewood Historical Society will host a model railroad show for the benefit of the Lakewood Heritage Museum, featuring the Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders. The exhibition judges decided Columbia’s train car was the best out of eight entries, which included other independent artist groups designing art galleries within trains. The winner was chosen based on three primary criteria: depth of concept, consideration of context and overall execution.
