Palo Alto may try to kill high-speed-rail plan

by Gennady Sheyner Palo Alto may soon take a formal "no confidence" stance against California's proposed high-speed-rail line and begin lobbying state legislators to halt the voter-approved project. A council committee is to consider the matter Thursday morning and the rail plan is agendized for the full City Council's Sept. 13 meeting.
