A National Transportation Safety Board investigation slammed Metro on Tuesday for a systemic breakdown of safety management at all levels leading to the deadly Red Line crash last summer, pointing to the continued use of unsafe railcars, safety testing rules that were not followed, and alarms that were ignored.

The huge model train exhibit at Amato's Toy and Hobby has been extended through July 31. The exhibit, which is part of Amato's 70th anniversary, has been visited by more than 2,000 people in the past two weeks.
